Cyclists, sports people, and swimmers have longer enjoyed plenty of options for effective activity-tracking watches, but now various other sports are getting some like, too—including golf. Following up on the release of its first Linked Golf Edition watch within 2019, LABEL Heuer offers launched a successor timepiece with an impressive lineup of golf tracking features and plenty of course-inspired style.
The Golf Edition was designed entirely in-house, and it’s certain to make a bold statement in the tee box. In a pr release, TAG Heuer’s Chief Technique and Digital Officer Frédéric Arnault called the new Connected watch Golf Edition “an one-of-a kind timepiece considerately crafted to boost the player’s game and stand out for the course. ”
At first glance, the biggest standout is the sleek monochrome colour scheme: A lightweight 45mm black titanium case is paired with a matte dark ceramic bezel, and it is engraved with 18 graduations representing each hole of the golf course. Closer inspection reveals other subtle references to the sport, including a golf ball-patterned white rubber straps that’s accented with eco-friendly stitching.
There is also plenty of substance to suit that style. The Golf Edition comes with premium features like built-in GPS for the purpose of standalone tracking and a good OLED touchscreen topped along with sapphire crystal for good durability. Power users will appreciate its Google Wear os, which provides access to Google Pay out, message notifications, and more.
But the watch really shines when paired with all the TAG Heuer Golf app. It gives you access to nearly 40, 000 interactive program maps, monitors your game along with detailed stat tracking, and can suggest what club to use. And when you’re not golf, it’ll record running and cycling workouts, too.
The only thing it won’t do? Haul your night clubs around. But we think that’s asking a lot of wristwatch.
