I need a bit more time to gather my thoughts into clear sentences but this play impressed me a lot. The contact module and the apparent order brought in by Inter Planta seem to create turmoil in personal relationships.
The play is set in the imminent future, it imagines a grisly pact between the first and third world desperate sic people who can sell their body parts to wealthy clients in return for food, water, shelter and riches for themselves and their families.

Money can blur the lines between what is legal and illegal, it can make a mother sacrifice her own son Jeetu for a TV. The play also shows the futuristic picture of the modern times where the machines will be replacing and distancing human beings gradually.
It’s a deep look into organ harvesting. As of yet, Manjula Padmanabhan has only written five plays. Books by Manjula Padmanabhan. Personally I liked this play as the dramatist is not trying hard to make it seem real padmqnabhan the audience. Read this play as a syllabus reading for my Intro to Lit class and thoroughly enjoyed it. No trivia or quizzes yet.
